To update and clarify text formatting in Forum posts...

Short Story: I have changed the default posting format to allow free formatting of posts by using the enter (line-feed, return, etc.) key. To see (and change) your post's formatting style, you can click on the Input format link near the bottom of the posting window.

Longer Story: Originally, there were vocal opinions on two formatting issues:

1. HTML formatting ability
2. Concern regarding posting email addresses and SPAM.

So, Steve Wartik created an Email Obfuscator format that allowed both.

In the interim, however, user comments are less concerned with #2 and interest in #1 is only marginal. In addition, many are confused as to why their ample use of the enter key is ignored. In response, I changed the default format to Filtered HTML to allow formatting with the enter key while retaining the ability to add some HTML formatting. This setting, however, removes the email obfuscator, so any email addresses you type in your post will be fair game for spammers.

Please understand: you can change this option by selecting the Input format link (near the bottom of the posting window). You can have three format choices:

1. Filtered HTML
2. Plain Text (ASCII)
3. Email Obfuscator
