Sold Out. No more wait list applications are being taken

Catherine Kitchell and Butch Counts have agreed to do this weekend again with no exciting trips to the hospital in Harrisonburg (even though the ER doctor was a cyclist conversant in the differences between Campy and Shimano.) (If you want the whole story come to the weekend to hear it!) The area, however, will stay the same and it is a fabulously bucolic place for cyclists – no sprawl, little traffic and lots of corn. We’ll stay at the Super 8 Motel in Mt. Jackson, VA. The hotel is right off of I-81 and is about 105 miles from Washington, DC. All rides start and end at the hotel. You’ll enjoy scenic rides, mountain views, creeks and a top-notch covered bridge. Rides range in length from 17 to 70 miles providing variety for all types of riders though one ride every day will be the “featured” ride lead by one of the ride leaders. Other area attractions include antique stores, vineyards, Bryce resort, Shenandoah Caverns, Civil War battlefields and interesting small towns. The motel has a large pool and party room that serve as the center of activity for after ride frivolity. Most rooms have double beds. If three/four share a room, only two beds are provided, cots can be provided for an extra charge. Bicycles can be stored in the rooms. All rooms have now have microwaves and refrigerators. Attendance is limited to the first 80 people. Seating for the dinner is limited so reservations without rooms will not be taken unless the weekend does not sell out.

WEEKEND COST:

• Single occupancy: $205/person
• Double occupancy: $137/person
• Triple occupancy: $111/person
• Quad: $99/person

There are two beds per room, cots can be rented for an extra cost.

• or join the club for $32/person or $37 per family.

PRICE INCLUDES:

• Friday and Saturday night lodging,
• Friday night welcoming party and Saturday post-ride party with snacks and drinks,
• Saturday night buffet dinner,
• map packet,
• all taxes and gratuities and lots of fun.

The hotel provides a continental breakfast every morning.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Full refund before June 19th (minus admin charge). Refunds after June 19, only if a replacement is available from the waiting list. No refunds after July 1st. All cancellations are subject to a $15 per person administrative charge.
