Cue Sheet Library

Welcome to PPTC's cue sheet library. Here you can find all cue sheets PPTC has online.

For an explanation of the symbols used in cue sheets, click here. For information on how to submit a cue sheet, click here.

You can search the library in any of the following ways:

  • By location, with cue sheets categorized according to where they start.
  • By distance, with cue sheets grouped in 10-mile increments.
  • As a table of all cue sheets that you can sort by title, distance, ride start, or state. In this view you can also do form-based searches.

PPTC's cue sheet library is populated and maintained by the volunteer efforts of its members. If you are a member of PPTC, you can help by submitting cue sheets you create, and by correcting any errors you find in existing cue sheets.

If you are not a member, you are welcome to use the library but we strongly encourage you to support this community effort by joining PPTC. To join PPTC, click here.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, we encourage you to contact the directly.

Please note that this library is maintained by volunteers. We will try to respond to questions, submissions and inquiries promptly, but the demands of family, work and the need to go on a ride ourselves may not allow us to respond quickly.

The routes listed here are provided by members of the PPTC and are not endorsed by the Potomac Pedalers Touring Club, Inc., or any other party. They are intended for use by experienced cyclists. Bicyclists using any of these routes assume all risks for their own safety. The routes indicated are regular roads used by automobiles and trucks, and they have no special provisions for bicycling. You should possess adequate cycling skills and be knowledgeable of vehicular laws before attempting to ride on any public roadway.

These routes were submitted by riders like you. PPTC makes no representations as to the accuracy of the cue sheets or the ridability of these routes. PPTC has not inspected, reviewed or verified either the cue sheets or routes. Please note that many routes were created some time ago, and that road conditions may have changed since the cue sheet was created – road signs disappear or become turned, counties rename or remove roads, road conditions improve or deteriorate, roads are made one-way, construction closes some roads, food stores close, new roads and developments appear, etc.

Neither PPTC nor the individual authors of these cue sheets can guarantee the safety of cyclists on these routes, and assume no legal liability for injury or damage which may occur.

The format for cue sheets is, what?

What is the format of the *.doc files? My version of MS Word 2003 can't seem to translate them, nor can a recent version of Mac Pages, which generally has no problem with Word documents. In MS Word I get a message that I need to install a conversion driver, but I then get an error before the conversion can actually be installed. Pages just tells me that the files are corrupted. So far I haven't been able to read a single document in the *.doc format, although I have no problem with TXT or PDF files.
